AI Engineering & Simulation

AI-Assisted Engineering

An AI layer around established simulation tools such as ANSYS and CalculiX. It does not replace solvers or engineering judgement.

What it is

AI Engineering & Simulation is an AI layer around established simulation tools such as ANSYS and CalculiX, supporting analysis, interpretation and reporting.

It does not replace solvers or engineering judgement: the numbers come from established solvers, and engineers make the decisions.

Problem addressed

Engineering workflows span simulation, software, telemetry, imagery, technical documents and operational data. The challenge is connecting these systems into usable engineering workflows.

Preparing simulations, checking inputs and interpreting results takes significant engineering time, and AI used on its own can produce numbers that are not grounded in a solver.

What has been built or demonstrated

A prototype AI layer is in development.

  • A proof of concept used a local AI model with the CalculiX solver to analyse the natural vibration of a desktop 3D printer, with its validation status reported in full.

Workflow

  1. 01Understand the model and inputs
  2. 02Assist preparation and reasoning
  3. 03Identify uncertainty
  4. 04Run established solvers
  5. 05Interpret and compare outputs
  6. 06Support reporting
Established solvers produce the numerical results; AI assists around them.

Limitations

  • Prototype stage: not a released product.
  • The AI layer assists preparation, reasoning and interpretation; it does not compute or certify engineering results.
  • Experimental validation of the proof-of-concept results is pending.
  • Aryaveer Technologies is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ansys, Inc.

Planned next steps

  • Technical validation, including experimental validation for the vibration proof of concept.
  • Integrations with established engineering tools.
  • Early pilots with engineering partners.
